L'Assiette - Auckland
During the week L'Assiette is more a traditional French patisserie than a bistro, where guests can enjoy an array of baked goods, from crunchy baguettes to super-sweet éclairs and cakes.
From Thursday night onward high-end French fine-dining takes centre stage, with patrons enjoying iconic countryside fare, complete with well-known dishes like poulet a la crème (chicken and liver in a white wine sauce) and poisson en papillot (fish of the day).
On the drinks card there's a selection of European beers and French wines sourced from as far afield as Languedoc and the Alsace.
Monday: 7.00am - 4.00pm / Tuesday - Friday: 7.00am - late / Saturday: 9.00am - late / Sunday: 9.00am - 4.00pm.
