Tony's Lord Nelson - Auckland
Tony's Lord Nelson restaurant is one of the oldest in Auckland, having been established nearly 40 years ago.
The venue in Victoria Street in the central business district began as a steakhouse, but the menu has widened throughout the years and now includes poultry, seafood, and game including venison. Dishes are traditional and include lamb shanks and chicken schnitzel.
The restaurant is still known for its steaks, however, and the menu includes several sizes, cooking styles, and sauces to choose from.
Downstairs, private booths offer the perfect setting for an intimate meal for two, while the more open space upstairs can cater for larger groups.
Monday to Friday: 12.00pm - 2.30pm and 5.00pm - 10.00pm, Saturday and Sunday: 5.00pm - 10.00pm.
